MexicanSpud
& MusicaG
Picture if you will the gym at San
Fernando High School. All decorated in 50's memorabilia. Teens all
dressed up in poodle skirts and leather jackets, dancing in their
socks to the oldies. Look to the left side of this gym and there you
will see two people, a boy and a girl, meeting for the first time.
Yes ladies and gentlemen that is how
MexicanSpud and MusicaG met. He was just a smart, funny kid from
Pacoima and she was a psycho from San Fernando and when they met, it
truly was instant chemistry. But it took another 3 months for them to
finally get together. But we don't have time for that story.
Through the years of our marriage, we
often talked about how their wasn't a radio station that played
all the music we love. They either played only old stuff or only new
stuff. Or only slow stuff.
We started tossing around the idea of starting our own
station. It seemed like a crazy dream, but everything about us was
crazy anyway, so on April 4, 2004 The Right Place was born. And for
the past 3 years it has been slowly picking up speed.
THEE COFFEE MAN
In 2006 we added another "employee" to
our ranks. Thee Coffee Man. Born and bred in The Antelope Valley,
this coffee guzzling fiend fit in perfectly with our crazy crew.

THE
STATION MOM
With the addition of The Coffee Man
came a bonus. The Station Mom. Whether allowing us the use of her
home, or helping us hand out business cards at concerts, she is truly
a blessing.
FRIDAY NITE LIVE
In 2005 we began Friday Nite Live. The
show was Spud's idea and it turned out to be a great one. We have the
greatest time playing music and chatting on the STRYPER forum. This
brings us to the real reason for our success.
OUR LISTENERS
When we started this we never imagined we
would meet people who not only listen to our station, but who do
whatever they can to help us to grow and succeed. From sending us CDs
to doing live interviews on the air with bands, our listeners are the
greatest!!
And so, with Jesus in our hearts, coffee
in our hands, and Chester the station cat walking on the keyboard, we
will do our best to continue playing the greatest music ever made.
